Sue Messmer

If it can be created, Sue wants to try to create it. In addition to being a fused-glass artist, she is a reporter and writer. She works with metals. She sews. She has been a weaver. "I worked with my Dad in his wood shop as a kid," Sue says. "I learned a lot about creativity working with him and his wood carving. My Dad was a very creative person." Her biggest strength is her eye for color. "Fused-glass gives me a chance to work with a variety of color combinations," she says. "Sometimes you find colors that many people wouldn't think compliment each other but they end up being striking and beautiful."
